Fogging machine for sale, or lease? What happens after the box is opened
Nobody buys a fogging machine because they want to own a fogging machine. They buy it because they want treated rooms. Once you frame it that way the purchase-versus-lease question gets much easier to answer.
In short
Buying gives you an asset and a capital cost. Leasing gives you a working system — machine, chemical supply, training, support and documentation — for a fixed monthly figure from £450–£550 + VAT. For regulated environments the ongoing system matters more than the ownership.

What does buying leave you responsible for?
Sourcing and validating chemical, training staff and keeping that training current, servicing and repair, calculating dosing and re-entry times, maintaining the evidence trail and replacing the unit when it wears out.
None of it is impossible. All of it is work, and it lands on someone who probably already has a job.
What does the lease carry?
The machine, on-site operator training at the start, SanoChem supplied on account, surveyed dosing and safe re-entry times, technical support coordinated from the Shropshire and West Midlands office with national network backup, and documentation that stands up in an audit.
Commercially: 36 months from £450–£550 per month + VAT, three months payable upfront, chemical from £15 per litre + VAT with a 100 litre minimum.
What about capital budgets?
For many public sector and charity customers this is the deciding factor: a monthly operating cost clears approval when a capital request does not, and it does not compete with clinical or estates capital.
It also spreads across sites cleanly, which matters for groups reconciling budget per location.
Does the machine become obsolete?
Equipment moves, chemistry improves and guidance changes. A lease keeps that as our problem rather than yours, and keeps your method aligned with what the wider Sanondaf network is doing across the UK.
A purchased unit from an online marketplace, by contrast, is as current as the day it shipped and no more.
Frequently asked
- Can we buy a machine outright from you?
- Our model is leasing to approved organisations, because the training, chemical and documentation are what make the treatment defensible.
- What happens at the end of the 36 months?
- We review it with you before the term ends — most sites continue, and equipment and chemistry are refreshed to whatever is current at that point.
- Is the lease cost fixed?
- The lease payment is fixed for the term and payable monthly in advance, with three months upfront. Chemical is charged as used from £15 per litre + VAT.
- Do you lease to individuals who want to buy one?
- No. Machines go to registered organisations only, in sectors we approve — healthcare, food, transport, education, care, housing, laboratories, marine and similar.
