Search for fogger machine price and you will find everything from £90 to five figures. That range is not really about the machine — it is about what else is attached to it.

The five components of real cost
Price them all or you are not comparing anything. Most disappointing purchases come from pricing only the first line.
- The machine — capital purchase or monthly lease payment from £450–£550 + VAT
- Chemical — from £15 per litre + VAT, minimum 100 litres
- Training — included at lease start; additional visits from £450 + VAT
- Downtime — what a closed room, ward, classroom or vehicle costs per hour
- Evidence — the documentation an audit, insurer or client will ask for
Why cost per treated room is the honest metric
It normalises everything. From £500 monthly lease payment + VAT across a conservative 60 rooms a month is £8.33 per room before chemical; across 110 rooms it is under £5. A per-visit fee from £495–£1,095 + VAT does not fall with volume at all.
Once you are working in cost per room, comparing a lease with a contractor, or two contractors with each other, becomes straightforward.
What makes a machine worth more?
Whole-volume dispersal rather than line-of-sight. Verified droplet performance. Weight low enough to hand-carry between rooms — ours is 8kg, which keeps a trolley from wheeling contamination around. Cycle times measured in minutes so throughput reaches five rooms an hour.
