- Decontamination completed in transit
- Load the container, hold, trailer or vehicle deck, trigger a cycle and close the doors. The treatment and the downtime happen while the load is moving, so the space is decontaminated and ready by the time the doors open at the other end.
- Foreign organisms on returning kit
- Equipment, vehicles and stores coming back from another continent carry bacteria, viruses and spores the home base has never dealt with. Treating on arrival — or in transit — stops an imported organism entering your accommodation, medical or food chain.

For your organisation, a machine already on site means Barrack blocks, bunk rooms and ablutions and other approved areas can be treated on your timetable. In an urgent situation, a trained colleague may be able to start within around ten minutes once the area is prepared — while an external booking may still be awaiting a quote, approval or arrival. Your own signed-off team follows your site standards rather than having to brief a new visitor on them each time.
In-house does not mean skipping safeguards: cleaning first, trained operators, your risk assessment, exclusion, dwell time, re-entry checks and a treatment record still apply. A room may be ready within the hour where the validated process and site conditions allow; this is not a guaranteed turnaround.

It blends into the cleaning schedule you already run
Your own janitors, cleaning staff or housekeepers build fogging into their normal daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual rounds. There is no separate programme to manage and no new headcount — the machine simply travels with the round.

Finish the clean as normal
Your team completes the standard cleaning process exactly as they do today — nothing is removed from the existing method or routine.

Drop the machine in, sign on the door
Set the volume, start the cycle and hang a small do-not-enter card showing the safe entry time. The room is then working on its own.

Leapfrog to the next room
Move on and clean the next room. When that one is done, the machine moves into it and the previous room reopens — a simple rolling leapfrog down the corridor.

- How much does it cost to disinfect one spaces / vehicle with a leased Sanondaf fogger?
- With a lease from £450–£550 per month + VAT and SanoChem from £15 per litre + VAT, treating around 80 spaces / vehicles a month works out at roughly £10–£12 per treatment + VAT. There is no per-treatment call-out fee, so the more you treat the lower the cost of each one.
- How quickly can defence & military sites respond to an outbreak with their own machine?
- Your trained operator can begin a treatment in about five minutes because the machine is already on site. Calling an external provider means reporting the incident, waiting for travel, site sign-in and equipment movement — realistically six to twenty-four hours. There is also a cross-contamination consideration: externally transported machines may pass through vehicles, car parks or lower-care areas before entering your controlled space, whereas your dedicated machine remains within your own hygiene controls.
- Who can lease a Sanondaf disinfection machine?
- Leasing is offered only to registered organisations that are approved for application, for use on their own sites by staff Sanondaf has trained. We do not lease to private individuals. Typical lease terms are 36 to 48 months and include operator training, two calibration visits and documentation for risk assessments.
- Is the disinfectant safe and environmentally friendly?

- Yes. Every treatment can be logged and issued as a dated disinfection certificate, so defence & military operators display them in reception, customer-facing areas, tender packs and inspection files — visible proof that preventative measures are routine rather than reactive.
- Does leasing mean employing extra staff?
- No. There is no additional staff cost and no new headcount. Responsible staff you already employ are trained by us, and the routine or emergency treatment becomes part of their existing job description and rota.
- How portable is the machine?
- The fogger weighs only 8kg and is carried by hand by one person, so there are no wheels rolling contamination out of an infected area. It fits small rooms and large halls alike and can be deployed within minutes.
- What is required at the start of the lease?
- Three months' lease payments are required upfront, along with a minimum initial SanoChem order of 100 litres unless otherwise authorised. Operator training and documentation are included.
- Is machine leasing available outside Shropshire and the West Midlands?
- Yes. Sanondaf has 12 offices across the UK plus a further six in Scotland, plus offices covering Northern Ireland, Wales, the Channel Islands, Iceland, Lebanon, Thailand, Malta, Mexico, South Africa and the USA — with more areas and countries opening every few months. If you are outside our region we will point you to the office that covers you.
- What if we are unsure how to handle a particular outbreak?
- We can attend with a couple of our own machines at a reduced rate to organise or supervise the response as a hybrid service, then hand it back to your trained operators.
